About HAV
Jose Marti International Airport (HAV) is Cuba's main international airport, located 15 km south of Havana city center. The airport has three terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights, Terminal 2 for US charter flights and some Caribbean services, and Terminal 3 for most international flights. Terminal 3 is the newest and best-equipped, while the other terminals are more dated. As Cuba's primary gateway, HAV handles visitors coming to experience Havana's legendary culture, vintage cars, and colonial architecture.

Insider Tips
Cuba operates differently from most countries — Wi-Fi is paid and slow, ATMs are unreliable, and US credit/debit cards do not work. Bring Euros or Canadian Dollars in cash to exchange. Official taxis are modern yellow cars — agree on the fare before departing. Terminal transfers require exiting and re-entering (allow 60+ minutes). Cuba requires a tourist card/visa for most nationalities, obtainable before travel or at the airline check-in counter.
