About HND
Tokyo Haneda Airport, officially Tokyo International Airport, is Japan's busiest airport and the preferred gateway for travelers to Tokyo due to its remarkably convenient location just 14 kilometers from the city center. Originally opened in 1931, Haneda has undergone massive expansion and modernization, culminating in the opening of the new international terminal in 2010 and Terminal 3 in 2020. The airport is a showcase of Japanese efficiency, cleanliness, and hospitality, featuring immaculate facilities, innovative technology, and numerous cultural experiences. Haneda consistently ranks among the world's cleanest and most efficient airports.
Why "HND"?
