South Bangalore IT corridor with Infosys, Wipro, and TCS campuses. Growing commercial hub.
About Electronic City
Phase 1 is the more established area with the largest corporate campuses and better surrounding infrastructure. Phase 2, to the south, is newer with growing development. The Electronic City Elevated Expressway (ECEE), opened in 2014, connects Electronic City to the rest of Bangalore more efficiently, though traffic remains a significant challenge.
The area around Electronic City has developed shopping centres, restaurants, and residential communities to serve the tech workforce. Hotels like Clarks Exotica, Fortune Select, and various serviced apartments cater to business visitors. The area is primarily a business destination — most leisure attractions are in central Bangalore, about 20 km north. For business travelers, Electronic City offers proximity to major IT campuses and a quieter, less urban environment than Whitefield.
