Station in the charming Trastevere neighborhood
About Trastevere Station
Today, Trastevere is beloved for its food scene—from traditional Roman trattorias serving cacio e pepe and supplì to trendy wine bars and gelaterias. Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere, anchored by one of Rome's oldest churches, is the neighborhood's heart. The Gianicolo hill above offers the best panoramic view of the city.
Trastevere Station (Roma Trastevere) is a secondary railway station serving regional FL1 trains from Fiumicino Airport, as well as trains to Viterbo and Pisa. It provides a direct, crowd-free alternative to arriving at the much busier Termini station.

Good to Know
Late Night Transport
The FL1 regional train last departure from FCO is around 11:30 PM. After that, night buses (Cotral) and taxis are available. Taxis use the €50 fixed fare (Trastevere is within the Aurelian Walls). The neighborhood itself is lively until 2 AM, with bars and restaurants keeping late hours.
Luggage Tips
The FL1 regional train has luggage racks and is less crowded than the Leonardo Express. From Trastevere Station, reaching hotels in the neighborhood may require a short walk over cobblestones—consider a small taxi or wheels-friendly bag. Left luggage is not available at Trastevere Station.
Accessibility
Trastevere Station has platform access via ramps. The FL1 train has designated wheelchair spaces. However, Trastevere's cobblestone streets can be very challenging for wheelchair users. Main streets like Viale di Trastevere are smoother. Request taxi drop-off as close to your accommodation as possible.
