Las Vegas Convention Center hosting CES and major trade shows

About Convention Center / LVCC

The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the largest convention facilities in the world, with over 2.5 million square feet of exhibit space spanning multiple halls. The recently completed West Hall expansion added 600,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space and is connected to the existing facility by the LVCC Loop, an underground transportation system built by Elon Musk's Boring Company using Tesla vehicles.

The LVCC hosts many of the world's largest trade shows, including CES (Consumer Electronics Show, 100,000+ attendees), CONEXPO-CON/AGG, SEMA (automotive aftermarket), and NAB Show. During major conventions, the surrounding hotels — including the Las Vegas Hilton (now the Westgate), Renaissance, and the numerous Strip properties — operate at or near full capacity.

The Monorail connects the LVCC directly to the Strip, with a dedicated station at the convention center. The surrounding area also includes the Las Vegas Country Club, several restaurants catering to the convention crowd, and is a short walk to the Encore and Wynn resorts on the north end of the Strip.

Luggage Tips

Convention attendees carrying display materials or samples should use the LVCC's freight and logistics services for large items. Personal luggage can be stored at nearby hotels. The LVCC has coat check areas during major shows. Rolling bags with convention swag are common on the Monorail and sidewalks. The airport is close enough for a quick luggage drop-off run between convention days.
