The world's most visited theme park resort
About Walt Disney World
Beyond the parks, the resort encompasses over 25 themed hotels ranging from value to deluxe categories, two water parks (Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach), the Disney Springs shopping and dining complex (with over 100 establishments), championship golf courses, and a comprehensive internal transportation network of buses, monorails, boats, and the Disney Skyliner gondola system.
Disney Springs, the resort's free-admission entertainment district, has evolved into a destination in its own right, with upscale restaurants from celebrity chefs (Morimoto Asia, The Boathouse, Jaleo by José Andrés), unique shopping experiences, Cirque du Soleil's 'Drawn to Life,' and the NBA Experience. The resort employs over 75,000 cast members, making it the largest single-site employer in the United States.

Late Night Transport
Disney resort guests have access to complimentary buses, monorails, boats, and Skyliner gondolas operating until approximately 2 hours after park closing. For non-resort guests, Uber/Lyft operate throughout the Disney property. After park hours, Disney Springs restaurants and entertainment venues stay open until 11:00 PM-midnight. Ride-shares from Disney to MCO cost $25-35. Mears Connect shuttle is a budget option.
Luggage Tips
Disney resort guests can use the Magical Express or Mears Connect service, which previously handled luggage transfer directly to hotel rooms (current services vary — check at booking). All Disney resort hotels have Bell Services for luggage storage and holding between check-out and departure. Disney Springs and theme parks have rental lockers at entrances. If visiting parks before hotel check-in, use Disney's Bell Services.

Walt Disney World is one of the world's most accessible vacation destinations. All four theme parks, hotels, restaurants, and transportation systems are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair and ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) rentals are available at every park entrance. A Disability Access Service (DAS) is available for guests with developmental disabilities. Disney buses are wheelchair accessible, and the Skyliner gondola has accessible cabins.
