Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH) serves Taiwan's second-largest city and the main gateway to southern Taiwan. Located just 6 km from the city center with a direct MRT connection, it is one of the most conveniently located airports in Asia. The airport handles both domestic flights to Taiwanese islands and international routes to destinations across Asia. Kaohsiung itself is a vibrant port city known for its waterfront arts district, night markets, and tropical climate.

Visit the Dome of Light at Formosa Boulevard
The world's largest glass artwork, installed in Formosa Boulevard MRT station. This stunning 30-meter-wide dome by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata depicts the story of human life. Free to view — just ride the MRT.
Cycle along the Love River
Rent a YouBike (public bike share, ~$1/hour) and cycle along the scenic Love River waterfront. Pass by cafes, parks, and the illuminated riverbanks. Beautiful at sunset. MRT to Yanchengpu then follow the river path.
Explore Liuhe Night Market
Kaohsiung's most famous night market, open nightly from 5 PM. Just 15 minutes by MRT from the airport. Sample local delicacies: papaya milk, seafood, stinky tofu, bubble tea, and oyster omelets. A quintessential Taiwan experience.
