PHX is derived from Phoenix, the capital and largest city of Arizona. The airport is centrally located just 3 miles east of downtown Phoenix, making it one of the most conveniently situated major airports in the United States.

Terminal 4 - North Concourse
The North Concourse of Terminal 4 handles primarily American Airlines and Alaska Airlines flights. Features the PHX Sky Train connection and multiple dining options.
Terminal 4 - South Concourse
The South Concourse handles Southwest Airlines, Delta, United, and Hawaiian Airlines. Connected to North Concourse post-security. Features updated dining and retail.

Visit Tempe Town Lake

Camelback Mountain Hike
One of the most popular hikes in the Phoenix area with stunning views of the Valley of the Sun. The Echo Canyon trail is challenging (1.2 miles, 1,280 ft elevation gain). Uber/Lyft about 25 minutes from airport. Bring water - essential in Arizona heat. Best in cooler months (October-April). Allow 2 hours for the hike.
Desert Botanical Garden Visit
World-renowned botanical garden in Papago Park showcasing desert plants from around the world. Features over 50,000 plants including towering saguaro cacti. About 15 minutes from airport by Uber/Lyft. Entry USD 25. Beautiful at sunset. Allow 2 hours for a thorough visit.
