About ZRH
Switzerland largest airport and a hub for Swiss International Air Lines.
Why "ZRH"?
ZRH is derived from Zurich (German: Zurich). The city name likely comes from the Celtic word Turicum. The H was added to create a unique three-letter code.

Central hub connecting all three concourses (A, B, D/E). Houses most shops, restaurants, and the main departure area. Accessible from both Check-in 1 and Check-in 2.

Handles Schengen (European) flights. Connected to Airside Center. Modern gates with good amenities.

Handles Schengen flights via automated people mover (Skymetro) from Airside Center. Opened in 2003.
Concourse E
Handles non-Schengen (intercontinental and non-EU) flights. Connected via Skymetro. Passport control required.
