About MXP
Northern Italy main international airport serving Milan and the Lombardy region.
Why "MXP"?
MXP is derived from Malpensa, the name of the area where the airport is located. Malpensa literally means bad thought in Italian, though the origin may relate to the marshy terrain historically found in the area.
