Venice Marco Polo Airport is the main international airport serving Venice and the surrounding Veneto region. Located on the edge of the Venetian Lagoon about 8 km north of Venice, it offers a unique arrival experience with water taxi and water bus options directly to the historic center. The airport handles nearly 12 million passengers annually and serves as a gateway to one of the world's most iconic cities, as well as nearby destinations like Treviso, Padua, and the Dolomites.

Venice Marco Polo has a single terminal building with two levels. Departures are on the upper level with Schengen and non-Schengen areas. The terminal was renovated and expanded with a new pier for non-Schengen flights.

Alilaguna water buses connect directly to Venice via the lagoon (60-90 min). ATVO and ACTV buses run to Piazzale Roma (20 min). Water taxis offer private, fast service to Venice hotels (30 min). Land taxis go to Piazzale Roma.
